Political will for global change emerges from grassroots movements and local communities working in unity. CAN-EA bolsters regional and national civil society networks to ensure that global advocacy and strategies are shaped from the ground up.
An Eastern African NGO asserting African leadership on climate
CAN-EA convenes Eastern African civil society voices to build power by addressing climate issues, racial and social injustice and their impacts — both regionally and across Africa. We operate at regional, national and local levels, strengthening grassroots voices and adding value to global climate resilience efforts through AMCEN, ACW, AU and the UNFCCC.

CAN-EA is a recognized CANEA Node — part of the global Climate Action Network engaging international climate negotiations at continental and global levels.
